The Fundamentals of Engineering Examination, required for registration in the state of Texas, will be given on the campus of Texas A&M University. The date of the exam and the ABSOLUTE deadline for signing up for the exam can be found by clicking here. That means that the Board of Registration must have received your application IN THEIR OFFICE before 5:00 p.m. on that date. If you mail it the day before, you will not be taking the exam this semester. You will, however, be one of the first applicants for next year. You can register on the web by clicking here.

The only things that you are permitted to bring into the exam room are calculators without QUERTY keyboards. You will have to leave your lunch and drinks outside. You cannot even bring your own pencil into the exam room. They are supplied for you. If you bring a backpack or other materials with you, you will have to leave them outside the exam room. They will not be permitted inside the testing area, and will probably have been stolen by the time you finish the exam.
